Description
Description/Abstract The complete low energy two-particle spectrum arising from the
coupling of the single-particle orbitals with summed energy (E/sub p/+ E/sub n/) up to 750
keV, and from the coupling of all known proton orbitals up to 1.5 MeV with the ground state
neutron, is calculated for the doubly odd deformed nucleus/sup 166/Ho. The bandhead
energies, the Gallagher-Moszkowski splitting energies, and the nuclear moment of inertia
parameters for deriving the rotational energies are calculated for a zero range residual ...

ABSTRACT The beta-connected states in odd-nass as well as even mass rare earth nuclei,
where the transition i «of allowed unhindered nature, are listed. The tabulation Includes 5k
cues of such transitions. Validity of Alaga selection rules is examined and the results are
used to assign configurations to the Involved single particle and two-particle states.

Description
Abstract The available information on the two particle doublets in the deformed even-even
rare-earth nuclei is examined to reveal that presently, on average, only one doublet per
nucleus has been experimentally identified up to 3 MeV excitation energy for the nuclei in
the region from 156 Gd to 182 W. Consideration of the superposition of the single particle
Nilsson orbitals available from the neighbouring odd-mass nuclei suggests the occurrence
of over twenty such doublets in each of the nuclei. We present a formalism for the ...
